It's been 2 1/2 weeks since my surgery and things are progressing nicely I think. My incisions are healing quite well and the nerves are not as sensitive as they were. Not saying I have all the feeling back yet, but at least the nerves that were hyper-sensitive are not as touchy...thank goodness.
I actually went bra shopping yesterday to see if I could handle wearing a regular wire free bra yet. I'm still healing and know there is still some swelling to go down, so still not definite on what size I will wear, but it sure felt weird being able to try on several different styles instead of just one or two. It was also weird trying to realize that I did not have to wear my bra so tight around the band anymore to hold me up along with pulling the straps as tight as they would go. It's going to take some getting used to. I did find one that was comfortable to wear and not too binding on my incisions...yeah!! Today I decided to see if I could handle wearing it all day and I did!! Woohoo!!
I go back next week to see my surgeon for another post-op visit and will see where things go from there. I went yesterday to have some fluid put back into my band...I was down to 3cc for the surgery and they added 1cc back. I was actually 1 pound under goal and they were wondering why I wanted fluid added. I told them I wasn't feeling restriction and wanted to continue to maintain my goal weight.
And on a side note, my youngest daughter goes this Friday to get her license....
