No more stitches!!

Today I had my one week post-op visit. He removed all my stitches and all the steri-strips from my incisions! Oh what a relief...the stitches were beginning to poke and itch me to death. I came straight home and took another shower to get all the rest of the goo and "stuff" off.. Wow, how nice that felt to not have all the bandages. The view is not pretty, but to me they look like a work of art. I will see my surgeon again in 3 weeks to see how the healing process is going, but he says all looks really good for 1 week post-op.

I've been released to increase my activity level and weight limitations within reason. Yea, now I can do more walking in this nice weather and not worry about what I can lift. Time to work on the abs before my cruise.

I have spent the last 2 days on a clothes buying spree. It has been fun getting new spring/summer clothes and I even found a bathing suit! Wasn't sure how easy  it would be to find one, but figured it would be easier now than before the boob job.

I still have to wait a few more weeks before I can move from a sports bra to a regular one, but I don't mind a bit....now I see why so many ladies like to wear them.

I go back on April 9th to put the saline in that was taken out for my surgery. It's been hard trying to keep my food intake amount in check and at times I do splurge, but all in all, I think I've done pretty well. I weighed in a 140 lbs. this morning and I usually fluctuate between 138 and 140. But I do know I need more restriction than I have to continue maintaining my goal weight.

Until next time,
Lisa B.
