Merry Christmas!!!

It's Christmas Day and here in Texas it cold and rainy. It's been a bittersweet Christmas in house. We've enjoyed fun and laughter with family and keeping our kids in suspense wondering if they had any presents to open; but we also lost a family member too. My husband's 92 year old Grandmother passed away on Christmas Eve. Although it may be a sad time for us, she is happy and well in heaven and seeing her beloved husband of 72 years again. We couldn't think of a better Christmas gift for the both of them.

We spent Christmas Eve with my family enjoying lots of food and children's laughter. Today we enjoyed Christmas at home and took most of the day to open presents. Gotta make it interesting when you have teenage girls in the house, so we sent our girls on a scavenger hunt around the house to find all their presents and then we finally opened gifts. Then my husband was sneaky and sent me on a scavenger hunt for my final present.....a new Toyota RAV4!!! Talk about a jaw dropper.

We are all still in our PJ's and enjoying time together. I must say that although I have eaten a little more than I probably should have, I am not kicking myself in the butt for it.  I am so happy at where I am in my journey and can't wait to see what new adventures are in store for the new me!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Until next time,
Lisa B.
